About
The Tangible Personal Property DR-405 is furnished annually on or before February 1, by the Clay County Property Appraisers Office to every business owner operating within the state of Florida. Every business owner operating in the state of Florida is required to complete, sign and file the Tangible Personal Property DR-405 with the Property Appraisers office annually on or before April 1, as provided by the Florida Statute 193.62. If a taxpayer chooses to do so, they may file online instead of submitting the Tangible Personal Property DR-405 to the office.
If a business neglects to complete and return a Tangible Personal Property DR-405 to the Clay County Property Appraisers Office or to file online by April 1, the Property Appraiser is required by law to place a value (Estimated Value) on that business, using the best information available. Failure to file a completed DR-405, will subject the taxpayer to a penalty and possible removal of exemption.
